Our incredible 3-day Namaqualand Flower tour began amidst a chilly storm in Cape Town. As we made our way to our charming seaside accommodation in Strandfontein, near Vredendal, we took the opportunity to visit some delightul wine estates and roadside shops along the route.
After a long day of exploration, we finally arrived at our accommodation, which boasted breathtaking sea views. We gathered around for a delightful barbeque, enjoying the soothing sounds of the ocean in the background.
The following morning, our adventure continued as we ventured to the quaint coastal town of Doringbaai to purchase fresh fish for our evening barbeque. Then, it was time to immerse ourselves in the enchanting world of flowers at Nieuwoudtville. Despite the muddy conditions caused by the recent rain, we embrace the opportunity to capture stunning pictures of the vibrant blooms and had countless moments of joy and laughter as we navigated in and out of the mud.
Returning to our accommodation in Strandfontein, we were immediately enveloped in a sense of relaxation, surrounded by the soothing sounds of the sea. As we settled in, the tantalizing aroma of freshly barbequed fish filled the air, heightening our anticipation for a truly unforgettable experience.
The following morning marked the beginning of our last day on the tour, as we bid farewell to the stunning sea views that had become a cherished part of our journey. As we made our way back, we meandered through numerous coastal towns, driving along the shoreline and being treated to breathtaking vistas of vibrant flowers in full bloom.
Reflecting on our wonderful tour, we couldn’t help but reminisce on the enchanting moments we had shared. From indulging in wine tastings to stumbling upon charming roadside shops, we reveled in every opportunity for adventure. And let’s not forget the playful excitement we experienced during our mud-filled escapades.
Despite occasional rain showers, we were fortunate enough to catch glimpses of the mesmerizing blooms that Namaqualand is renowned for.
